Our Story
At Atelier Capital Partners (ACP), we have successfully executed our strategies based upon ACP’s core set of operating principles over nearly 3 decades of investment, development, and asset management activities.

Starting with a team with cross-discipline experience ranging from architectural design, project management to real estate investments, Edward Wong Development was established with a mandate to not only create a quality real estate portfolio but also to dig deep into each real estate project and build a global network with local property development partners to lay our roots in key global cities. We began investing in various projects around the world including Hong Kong, China, the US and Canada.

We institutionalized our operations and improved corporate governance to build a strong foundation for the business to grow. We continued to build relationships with local development partners. In 2007, we formalized our presence in Canada by establishing a wholly-owned subsidiary in Vancouver to spearhead our operations in selected North American markets.  We also successfully expanded our footprint in London. And then in 2013, Chongbang Holdings, for the first time, secured significant investments from world-renowned institutional investors.

We aligned our global investment strategy to focus on global gateway cities and invest in both physical assets and real estate companies. During this era, we co-founded Chongbang Holdings, a mixed-use placemaker in Shanghai, participated in a number of multi-family projects in Canada, and acquired multiple office investments in the US.

EWD continued to grow alongside local development partners, to identify and capture structural growth through building real estate companies with niche investments. We co-invested with Seaforth Land, our London-based real estate developer partner focused on value investing in Central London. Besides investments into real estate projects, we also initiated several pipeline investments into promising real estate operating companies.  In 2020, ACP was officially spun-off from EWD to independently carry on its pursuit of entrepreneurial real estate investment and development projects in our target global gateway cities.
